Governing use of Abɛn Connect, verified concierge escrow services, buyer protections, and transaction security rules.
CRITICAL NOTICE: Zero Tolerance for Off-Platform Sales & Full Disclaimer of Liability
Abɛn Connect operates exclusively with an Escrow Concierge Model personally spearheaded by Nana Yaa Brefo. Any agreement, negotiation, or transaction conducted outside official Abɛn channels—including direct Mobile Money (MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, AT Money), direct bank transfers, or uncoordinated cash-on-delivery—is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
1. Acceptance of Terms & Scope of Service
By accessing, browsing, listing items, or transacting on Abɛn Connect ("the Platform", "we", "us"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Abɛn Connect operates as a curated bridge connecting Ghanaian vendors, service providers, and diaspora buyers worldwide with personal verification and escrow safeguards.
2. The Abɛn Escrow Concierge Mechanism
To safeguard both parties against common marketplace scams (such as advance fee fraud, fake tracking numbers, and delivery cancellations), all purchases follow the Abɛn Escrow protocol:
- Payment into Escrow: The buyer deposits funds solely into the official Abɛn Concierge escrow account.
- Verification & Dispatch: The seller is notified that funds are secured and dispatches the item or provides the agreed service.
- Inspection & Confirmation: The buyer or their designated local recipient has a 48-hour inspection window to verify item authenticity and condition.
- Disbursement: Only after the buyer confirms satisfaction is the payout released to the seller, minus the agreed platform concierge commission.
3. Strict Prohibition of Off-Platform Dealing & Direct Private MoMo
Bypassing the platform escrow mechanism undermines community safety and is considered a severe violation of these Terms:
- Requesting or transferring direct Mobile Money (MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, AT Money) without Abɛn Escrow authorization.
- Asking buyers for "fuel money", "delivery commitment fee", or "advance deposits" privately.
- Attempting to share private bank details or negotiate outside the verified Concierge WhatsApp line (+233 50 065 2244).
- Cancelling an Abɛn order to finalize the identical transaction off-platform.
Any seller or buyer found soliciting or engaging in off-platform dealing will face immediate account termination, revocation of verified seller badges, removal of active listings, and permanent blacklisting from future Abɛn promotions.
4. Full Disclaimer & Non-Liability for Private Transactions
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL ABƐN CONNECT, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, OR AMBASSADORS (INCLUDING NANA YAA BREFO) BE HELD LIABLE FOR:
- Any money sent directly to an individual or business via private Mobile Money or bank transfer.
- Counterfeit, stolen, or substandard goods acquired through unauthorized private arrangements.
- Failed shipments or disappearance of sellers who persuaded the buyer to bypass escrow.
- Any incidental, indirect, or consequential financial losses incurred through non-compliant transactions.
Buyers and sellers who choose to communicate or settle outside of Abɛn Concierge assume 100% of all associated legal and financial risks at their own peril.
5. Seller Warranties & Listing Standards
Every seller submitting listings to Abɛn warrants that they are the rightful owner of the product or legally authorized to sell it. All descriptions, prices, photos, and condition reports must be accurate. Abɛn strictly prohibits illegal goods, stolen items, prescription drugs without regulatory permits, unregistered pharmaceuticals, or fraudulent land documentation. High-value property listings require verified deeds and licensed legal oversight.
6. 48-Hour Buyer Inspection & Dispute Protocol
Buyers enjoy a 48-hour inspection period from the verified moment of delivery. If an item is counterfeit, damaged, or materially differs from the listing description, the buyer must immediately alert the Concierge line with photo/video evidence. Abɛn will mediate the return of the item and issue an escrow refund according to our dispute policy. Once the 48-hour inspection window lapses or the buyer confirms receipt, escrow funds are released and sales are deemed final.
7. Concierge Commission & Fees
Listing basic items on Abɛn is free. A success-based concierge commission (5%–10% depending on product category and verified service requirements) is deducted upon successful sale from the escrow disbursement. There are zero upfront listing fees for everyday sellers.
8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms that cannot be resolved through Concierge mediation shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Ghana.
9. Reporting Violations & Official Inquiries
If you suspect any seller or user is attempting advance-fee fraud, requesting private MoMo payments, or violating these Terms, report them immediately to our official Concierge channels:
